Vern was practicing his turns a couple weeks ago. He happened to be practicing right over the house. So I snapped a picture. It is kind of fuzzy, But I thought I would share.
Tonight he is off flying as well. I have to say i am jealous the weather is beautiful tonight. Last night him and his dad put the big tires back on the plane so he can get some instructed flight in those before he solo's. I am guessing he will solo in the next couple weeks. He doesn't think he is ready yet, but his instructor thinks he is close. He wants Vern to get his solo out of the way so they can go play at Jim Creek, and go to some fishing holes. I think it will be play time shortly, but Vern will still have to do some cross country trips as well as a night flight trip.
He is having fun, and is like a kid in a candy store.

I was in the same boat as Vern. My instructor thought that I was ready to solo, but I was sure that I was NOT! I'm still jealous of him though.
Totally awesome! Thanks so much for posting a picture of Vern flying his plane . . . it's just too cool! I'm enjoying the sunshine too and thinking it's time to BBQ!!
