Not much has been going on since hunting season came to an end. Vern is working out of town up in Cantwell and Nenana this week so I am solo. Hopefully he will be back on Friday. Last night Mom, Tania, Logan, Sarah and I climbed the Butte. The weather was great, the colors were awesome, and you could definatly tell the winter is on its way.

We think that we have the track rig sold so that will be nice. However, Vern's latest phase is an airplane and he has been looking hard for one. I think this weekend he is going to look at a Taylorcraft. He thinks that it would be easier to fly into the cabin and we could go more places in an airplane. Vern wants me to at least go thru ground school with him so that I know what is going on in the airplane. I am not opposed to the idea because i think it would be good, and who knows i might like flying and want to get my license. I think that would be a dream come true for Vern. Two dreams in one year...Wife shoots a moose, and Wife gets pilots license.
We will see what the future holds.

If you get your private pilot's license BEFORE I complete mine, I will personally come up there just to kick your hind end. Well, I'd like to.....you'd love flying. I do and I can't wait until I get to finish up my lessons. I have lots of the ground school goods here, so come visit and I'll share with you. I think that you should just help me finish up my lessons, find Grady a job up there, and then you could have your own private pilot whenever you needed her...ha..ha. Keep us posted on that one....you've got me jealous now.
Okay...I just looked at the Taylorcraft. It's a taildrager. I'm not known up enough on that one, but my father in law has one. Just a different landing deal than I already have been trained....I was afraid of that one, but I know that I can learn it. Do I need to buy Popi's Scout before you find the job and we move there?
Ashli- you think i will like flying...huh? I like to fly in small planes, that doesn't bother me but i am horrible with directions. Vern said if i learn to fly i will get better at directions. I can just see me being the pilot that flies above the road cause i don't know where i am going! LOL Have you soloed yet?
Actually, the roads are great when you are learning directions. I always have to find something far off to focus on when going without the instruments. I have not soloed yet, I was getting pretty big in the belly and quit, and haven't been back since. My grandpa said that he hoped having Myles would not stop my lessons all together, so I need to get back out there soon. Just remember that one when you are considering the whole baby thing....get the flight lessons done first or have the baby before you commit to them much. They wouldn't take long if you have the money and can hit it at least a couple of times a week.
Your post cracked me up!! Well, next I think needs to be BABY SCHACHLE!! What happened to the "Marathon Rack" for the back of the truck? I just can't keep up with what Vern really wants!! LOL!!! Hey, we need to get together for scrapbooking or drinks or something!
