We had a great weekend. It was way to short, but fun.
Friday night we went to a wine tasting. It was black tie, which we new wasn't really "black tie" cause we were in Wasilla, Alaska. However, when Vern put a new pair of his clean carhartt jeans on and a nice ironed button up shirt I thought that he would probably be a little under dressed. NOPE at the black tie wine tasting there was a guy with jeans on and a Green Bay Packers sweatshirt so we were safe! LOL Vern was dressed up! We had a great time. Matt, Amy, Katie, Mom, Dad, Dean, Cyndie, Vern and I had a great time. We tried all different kinds of wine and figured out that the Port wines have the most alcohol content. That is our kind of wine....ok not really. But the wine tasting was fun because there are lots of different wines out there that i have never heard of and i did learn a lot!! We will have to go again next year!

Saturday was off to the health fair. Work put it on and it was free, so can't pass that up. I HATE NEEDLES THOUGH! It was short and somewhat painless though. Then off to pick up Sam and Mom and I went to Anchorage. Vern stayed here and worked on his snowmachine. After dinner I made the dreaded trip to Wal-Mart. Vern and Sam stayed at the house and Sam wanted to shoot the bb gun. So vern set up a little target in the living room and let Sam shoot the Airsoft bb gun. I don't think Seth (Sam's dad) was to impressed that Vern had Sam shooting the bb gun in the house. But it is to cold in Alaska so we have to make do, right? :) Vern is very good with him and teaching him gun safety so it was good experience for Sam. He was very excited to show me the target when i got home from Wal-Mart.
Sam holding the wishbone before we broke it. It was from a turkey I cooked a while back. He kept telling Vern "I made and wish, I made and wish"
Sunday was off to church, and then to Mom's to help her on he block craft. I will have to post pictures of that next time! She is doing an AWESOME job. I love helping but only to put the ribbon on. I haven't graduated to helping decorate yet and that is just fine with me. Mom is an expert at that!
Well off to do the nightly chores, laundry, dishes, lunches. I wish i could afford a maid, and I don't even have any kids. LOL
