It has been a while since I Posted so I thought I would send out an update. Not a whole lot of new things going on.
Vern smashed his arm at work last week on Thursday so he was out Friday from work. His arm is a lot better now. The Dr. said he is so suprised that he didn't break it. It was very swollen thru the weekend and it turn very black and blue. He suprised me and listen to the Dr.'s orders for the most part. He iced it and kept it elevated for all of Friday and half a day Sat. Vern is NOT one to sit around so I know this killed him. His arm is better now and Sat. afternoon he was able to get the track rig all put back together and he left for the cabin in Petersville Monday morning. He made it in there safely and will hopefully return with some meat for our freezer. He is also painting the stairs to the shed when he is up there so that the weather doesn't get to them.
Sam came and spent the weekend with us this last weekend. It is always fun to have the kiddos and there is NEVER a dull moment. Vern told him Friday night to "watch his mouth or he was going to dust his tail feathers." So Sat. morning when I was making breakfast for Sam, Vern and I. Vern was being a little terd. He apprently got more sleep then I did. He was giving me a bad time and Sam didn't even miss a beat. He said " Uncle Vern, you watch your mouth or I am going to dust your tail feathers." It was priceless. I laughed forever at that one.
Sunday we went to church. Then went back to the house for nap time for Sam and then off to the swimming pool. It was a blast. Matt, Amber, little Seth, Sam, Triston, Naomi, and I went. The kids had a great time. They all did very well swimming. Sam had so fear and was jumping of the edge of the pool doing tricks.
Our weekend was fun, and then it was back to work. Well for one of us. Vern has the next two weeks off for hunting. I am taking the 18th and 19th of Sept. off to go to Petersville with my parents and brother while Vern is out hunting with the guys!
I hope everyone have a nice week. Fall is definatly on its way!!!

OUCH! I'm happy to hear that he will be okay and that it didn't stop his hunting adventures. What are you going to do with yourself for that long? You can come down and play nanny for me....I am really wishing that I could afford one right now....how's it sound?
Hope Vern gets a wopper.
First off, thanks so much for the fun night tonight 9-10-08! I had a blast and the food was YUMMY! Second, poor Vern and we're praying his arm heals fast so he can get a record breaker before he heads home! Third, the story about Sam and the police makes me laugh!! You guys are so funny!! I hope you sleep well tonight and your mouth will feel better in the morning!
