While we were packing to go Friday night Vern got a message on his cell phone from the Amvets. He had bought some tickets from them for a gun raffle a couple months ago. So he call them back. He didn't win a gun, but they put all the "losers" back in a bucket and draw one last time and Vern's name was chosen. He won a $1000 gift certificate to Sportsman's Warehouse. So we stopped what we were doing Friday night and went to pick it up. It was burning a hole in his pocket so after we got back from camping yesterday and got everything unloaded we went on a date. We went to Chili's then to Sportsman's Warehouse. My dating life came alive once Sportsman's Warehouse opened up. I get dinner he gets to go shopping! Good trade! HAHA
Anyways so with his gift certificate he bought a new .22 pistol with a scope for spruce hen hunting. It is a nice little gun that will fit in a back pack or on the front of the razor. So it will be handy. He also bought me a new sleeping bag and a sleeping pad to go with it. That was nice of him, but the more I think about it I think he thought if I buy her something I can buy another gun and she probably won't say anything....cause mind you this is probably about gun number 25 at least. That is another blog though. HAHA
So while Vern was under the stair cleaning out some of the old sleeping bags and making room for my new one I opened it and climb in it. When he came out from under the stairs he was laughing so hard and he looked at me and said "you are a fruit cake." Laughter is good for everyone so we took a picture of my and my new sleeping bag. I love it! I love the gun too though, shooting spruce hens is a blast! 
Hopefully we get to go camping again this year so I can try out my new sleeping pad and my new sleeping bag. Time, work, and weather will tell that though!

Can you believe how hot my wife is in a mummy bag?????? I guess I have to take her hunting more now, as long as she keeps shooting the grouse. Don't miss now babe!!
I am not one to comment on how some one elses wife looks, so I think all women look hot in a mummy bag. It just leaves everything to the imagingation. congratulations on your winnings. I won a 22 rifle when i bought my hunting rifle. It hasn't been shot yet. I am hoping to give it to Stu when he is a little older. Well you guys have a nice day.
